So often, those new to UX are missing an understanding of the brain science behind why certain designs work in certain situations. This term at Northeastern, I am teaching a class called The Fundamentals of Human Behaviors for Interactive Systems; which is really just a techy way of saying: Cognitive psych for product design. The curriculum was designed by a colleague, so all I had to do in preparation was read a few books to refresh my memory on these concepts that designers practice everyday – whether they know it or not.
